Embracer bought Gearbox for $1.3 billion (around £1.02 billion) in 2021, but it was reportedthat they were looking to selllast year as part of ongoing layoffs, closures and divestments.

It was reported yesterday that another Embracer division, Saber Interactive, could besold to private investors in the near future. Saber are currently working on the Knights Of The Old Republic remake and Space Marine 2, among other games.
